Here are the set of questions what I have , please don’t mind take your time and answer the following questions so that I really want to come into this field.
1. I have a good knowledge of VMware workstation , Installing VM’s Configuring , Cloning and Teaming etc. Now before getting into this VCP4 Do we have to have thorough knowledge of
ESX or knowing what a VMware VM’s functionality is will that be enough
2.And coming to OS Knowledge I have worked on Win XP and was one of the Team members for Win Vista launch in hp and also its going to happen with Win 7 I will be going to
Malaysia for training partners ,but I have never worked on servers ,especially on Linux , I have taken Solaris Certification Course but I could only complete Part 1 of it. So do we require an in depth knowledge of Linux/Solaris OS.
3. Please let me know what all to prepare before getting into the classroom .
4.What are the job perspectives once the course is done , do we have or stand any chance of getting a job in hp itself or we should search outside.
5. Is it preferred for me to opt VCP 3 instead of VCP 4 ?
Having VMware workstation knowledge is good and enough for taking VCP 4 class
Also try to know the basics of storage technologies, Network VLAN, and linux basic commands & file system partitions types etc..
They will cover what is virtualization and VMWare products used for virtualization
Heard that requritments going on in HP,EDS and IBM for Windows with VMware & Citrix profiles
VCP4 is prefered
